[ Chris Carrea ]

Chris is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist whose work has screened internationally at major festivals including Slamdance, the Los Angeles Film Festival, Clermont‑Ferrand, and IDFA.

She is a Film Independent Project Involve Fellow and a Native American Media Alliance Fellow. Chris’s practice spans film and fine art, with work exhibited in leading institutions such as LACMA and Bizart in Shanghai.

She holds an MFA from the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Otis College of Art and Design. Chris is a registered member of the Mohawks of Akwesasne and a citizen of Canada and the U.K.
